You will need 4 actors; the narrator, God, the man and woman.
Narrator: God created a man out of the dust from the earth. [Raise the man from the ground and breath into his face] He breathed his own breath into the man’s nostrils; it was the breath of life, and the man became alive!
God put the man in the Garden of Eden. He made lots of different trees that looked good and in the middle of this garden he placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
God told the man to work and look after the garden. Then he said;
God: You can eat from any tree in this garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat from it, then you will definitely die! It is not good for you to be alone, so I will make you a helper that is suitable for you.
Narrator: Now, God had created many different animals and birds. He brought them over to the man, so that he could name them. Whetever the man named them, that was what they were called. The man gave names to every creature; livestock, birds and wild animals. But no suitable helper for Adam was found.
So, God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep. While he was sleeping God took one of Adam’s ribs and then he closed it up with flesh. God made a woman from the rib that he had taken from Adam. Then he brought her to Adam.
Adam: Bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; I will call her ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.”
Narrator: That is why a man and a woman leave their parents and become united with their wives. Adam and Eve were both naked. They felt no shame or embarrassment. They were God’s creation.
