How to Play:

Hand each player a balloon and tell them that they have to compete to blow the balloon up until it pops. The player to have their balloon pop first is the winner!

Note: Be aware that when the balloon pops it may shock the player that wins! Choose players that you believe will be happy to face the consequences.

Applications:

ANGER: The ‘Balloon Pop!’ game makes me think about what happens when we get angry. Just as the balloon got bigger and bigger and then blew apart, so our anger can boil up and up inside of us until it finally explodes! (Psalm 37:8, James 1:20, Ephesians 4:26)

CONSEQUENCES OF SIN: Just as the balloon in the ‘Balloon Pop!’ game exploded, when we keep doing our own thing, ignoring God and living selfishly in sin, the end is not good or pretty! (Romans 6:23, Isaiah 59:2)

DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIOR: Sometimes we can act a bit like the balloon in the  ‘Balloon Pop!’ game. We can become destructive in our behavior and even start on the route of self destructive behavior. (1 Peter 3:9, John 10:10)

PRIDE: Did you see how the balloon in the ‘Balloon Pop!’ game exploded?! It got larger and larger until it was destroyed. Pride does exactly the same thing; we begin to think we are bigger and better than we really are until our relationships are badly affected. (Proverbs 11:2, Proverbs 16:18, Proverbs 29:23)
