Age of Players: 4 or above

Number of Players: 3 or more

You will need: No equipment needed

Preparation: No prep required

How to Play:

Players all lie on the floor and close their eyes, pretending to be sleeping lions. They should not move, but stay still. The person or people that are ‘on’ then go around trying to wake the lions up by telling funny jokes or saying anything they can think of that might wake the lions up.  If a player moves at all then they have woken up and they are eliminated from the game. The last player remaining completely still at the end of the game is the winner.

Applications:

This game can be used to teach on Daniel and the Lions den!

REST: Did it feel nice to lie down and have a rest in the ‘Sleeping Lions’ game? We all need rest. In fact, Genesis 2 tells us that after creating the world in six days, God rested! God has set the example for us to follow. So, are you good at resting or do you enjoying doing all the time? Ask God today to help you enjoy resting in him. Matthew 11:28-30, Genesis 2:2-3, Exodus 20:8-10, Mark 6:31, Exodus 33:14
