Theme: The Holy Spirit is our ultimate, ongoing power-up
 Key Verse:
📖 John 14:26 – “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit… will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have said to you.”

SET the Scene:

Question:
 “What’s your favorite in-game power-up or boost—and why?”
Let students share a few examples (Mario Kart Star, Fortnite Medkit, RPG buffs).

Power-Up Hunt (optional game): Hide paper “power-ups” with Scriptures or encouragements around the room. Let students find them.
Debrief: “These are fun for a moment—but the Spirit’s power is lifelong.”

SPOT the Simple Meaning:

Discussion:

Ask:

  • What makes a good power-up in a game?
  • Why do you think Jesus told His disciples not to go without the Holy Spirit?
  • What difference can the Holy Spirit make in your everyday life?

Deep Dive Discussion:

Explore:

  • How is the Holy Spirit like a power-up? How is He different?
  • What’s the difference between trying to live for Jesus on your own vs. with His Spirit?
  • How do we “activate” or rely on the Holy Spirit in real life?
  • What are some ways you’ve felt God help, guide, or strengthen you?

SEARCH the Scriptures:

Read John 14:25–26 and Romans 8:26–27.

Ask “How will the Holy Spirit help you?” “Are you inviting him to help you each day? Why/why not?”

SENSE How You Feel:

Prompt:
“Where in your life do you feel weak or like you’re low on spiritual energy?
Ask the Holy Spirit to step in and strengthen you there.”

Invite students to ask the Holy Spirit to fill them.
Give space for silent prayer or soft worship music. Option to journal a prayer:
“Holy Spirit, here’s where I need You most…”

SEEK God:

Challenge youth to start each day this week with a prayer:
“Holy Spirit, I need You. Fill me, guide me, and strengthen me today.”

Challenge:
Live powered-up.
Before school, a decision, or a hard convo—ask the Holy Spirit for help.
