‘The Sluggard’ Bible Story Poem is part of the ‘Gruesome and Gory Bible Story poem collection. This poem is aimed at children aged 7-11 years old. We hope they love it!

He slithers slowly out of bed.
He doesn’t care where he rests his head.
He never works himself too hard.
He’s as much use as a blob of lard.
And although it sounds extremely funny,
This bloke he never has any money.
He wastes the little that he earns,
But the billionaire’s life he dreams and yearns.

Oh lazy sluggard can’t you see?
You’ll never be as rich as he!
While billionaire’s been using skills,
You’ve been sleeping in the hills.
So change your stance
You’ve got one chance:
A lazy life you can’t afford,
A lazy guy God won’t reward!
