I love ‘The Lost Sheep’ printable! A simple yet super fun printable for your children to colour or even decorate with buttons, sequins, cotton wool or even glitter (yikes!). The Lost Sheep is one of the most famous Bible stories that has been told time and time again and a great reminder of the love that the Father has for each of us. Use this printable as an opportunity to talk to your children about the incredible love God has for them.

Do your children know they are loved by God?

Are your children aware that God leaves the 99 to reach them?

This isn’t just a cute story, the parable of the Lost Sheep was told to help people understand their relationship with the Loving God. God cares for each of us like nobody else ever could! I am so thankful that someone took the time to teach me this parable when I was a child. In fact, I think I was told this story over and over again and it never failed to highlight to me the overwhelming love of God.

Printable colouring sheets provide a fantastic opportunity to talk with your children about the parable; see how much they understand and what God might be saying to them through it. Don’t be afraid to ask the tough questions…

  1. Why does shepherd leave the 99 sheep?
  2. How does it make you feel to know the shepherd searched for the one sheep?
  3. Would you have left the 99 sheep to find the one? Why/why not?
  4. How can you be someone that isn’t afraid to help one person or to tell them about Jesus?
