AIM:
The aim of the ‘Mountain Mover’ teaching series is to help children realize that their faith is powerful when placed in a mountain moving, mountain creating God!
THEME SONG:

DECORATIONS:
Camp Fires. A fake camp fire would look fantastic in a set up for this program.
Log Cabins. Could you create the look and feel of a log cabin indoors? Just let your imagination – and your kids imagination – run wild!
Tents. Bring in a pop up tent or two and put some lanterns around to make the place feel like a campsite.
Sleeping bags. It’s always nice to get comfy so why not bring in a couple of sleeping bags to dress up your camping area.
Fake Mountains. Why not create your own indoor mountains on a backdrop or out of boxes?

SESSIONS:
LESSON 1: GOD IS THE MOUNTAIN MOVER
STORY: THE MUSTARD SEED
PASSAGE: MATTHEW 17:20
In this session children will learn that they can have faith as small as a mustard seed that will move mountains – not because they are mountain movers, but because they pray to the One who is!
LESSON 2: GOD MAKES A WAY
STORY: JESUS IS THE DOOR/GATE
PASSAGE: JOHN 10:7-10
Children will hear how Jesus is the door/gate for the sheep in this session. They will realize that Jesus is the One that makes a way for us to know God, to be His friend and to follow Him.
LESSON 3: DON’T GIVE UP!
STORY: JAIRUS’ DAUGHTER
PASSAGE: MARK 5:21-43
When we pray and don’t see healing it can be easy to give up, yet the Jairus kept going and didn’t give up – even when things got tough!
LESSON 4: TRUST THE MOUNTAIN MOVER
STORY: JESUS WALKS ON WATER
PASSAGE: MATTHEW 14:22-33
Peter had to trust Jesus when Jesus invited him to walk on to the water. We will only see the mountains [problems] move in our lives when we trust the mountain mover!
