‘Summer of Songs’ Childrens Teaching Series on Psalms

AIM: This series was written to help children understand and learn some of the Psalms in the Bible. A few of the Psalms look at what it means to praise and worship, whilst others focus on themes such as forgiveness v revenge and God’s protection.

THEMING: The theme of this series is, of course, summer! That means you’ll want a summery atmosphere, so we have some ideas below of how you can achieve that:

Decoration Ideas:

1. Bright colored bunting
2. Bight colored balloons
3. Pool inflatables: pink flamingoes, big crocodiles, rubber rings
4. Pool noodles
5. Palm trees (inflatable)
6. Ice creams – make giant ice creams or have ice cream bunting
7. buckets and spades
8. Sand pits or sand on tarp (if you’re feeling brave!)
