BIG IDEA: GOD’S WORD IS SWEET!
STORY: MOSES IN THE WILDERNESS
PASSAGE: EXODUS 16
In this session children will discover the sweetness of God’s Word as they think about how God gave the children of Israel manna every morning. They will learn that the Bible is our spiritual food.
LESSON 2: CHEW
BIG IDEA: I CAN READ GOD’S WORD
PASSAGE: PSALM 1
Children will be encouraged as they read Psalm 1 and discover that growing in God means chewing over His Word and thinking about what it means.
LESSON 3: DIGEST
BIG IDEA: I CAN REMEMBER GOD’S WORD
STORY: THE TEMPTATION OF JESUS
PASSAGE: MATTHEW 4:1-11
Just as Jesus was able to recite the Word back to the devil, children will learn the power of digesting the Word of God so that they are able to remember it when most needed.

STORY: JOSHUA LEADS
PASSAGE: JOSHUA 1
Joshua was told to meditate on God’s Word ‘day and night’ so that he would be strong and courageous and have success. Children will learn the value in reading the Bible daily in this session.
